What is the benefit/difference between Easy Bread and other bread maker machines?

Do I have to open the capsule packet and remove the foil before putting it into the machine?
No, do not open the capsule packet before putting it into the machine. The machine comes with a built-in opening system which cuts the capsule when you close the lid on top.
How do I put the capsule in the opening system?
TIP: ensure that the sealing foil is always on the bottom, when you insert
What is the ideal water temperature that should be used?
We recommend to use lukewarm water for the baking process. “Lukewarm” generally means between 35°C–40°C.
TIP: When you run the water on your wrist and feels warmer than your body temperature, but not hot, that should be just about right.
How much water is needed to bake the bread?
Fill the water tank at least up to the indicated minimum level but do not exceed the indicated maximum water level.
Can I use milk or any other liquid other than water?
No, only use fresh drinking water or tap water in the machine.
Are there artificial flavours or colourings added to the Easy Bread capsules?
No, there no artificial flavours added.
Are there any preservatives in the bread capsules?
No, the bread capsules do not contain any added preservatives.
Are there any genetically modified ingredients (GMO’s) in the bread capsules?
No, there are no genetically modified ingredients in the bread capsules.
How long does it take for the bread to bake?
Once you push the Start Button it will always take exactly 2 hours and 10mins until your bread is ready! For your convenience there is a countdown timer so you can wake up to aroma of freshly baked bread ready to consume. The bread maker will continue to warm the bread for up to 40mins once baking is complete.
How long do I need to wait before I can use the bread maker machine again?
The machine normally needs 15-30mins to cool down in between baking.
TIP: To speed up the cooling process, we recommend you open the capsule holder on the top (lid) and the drawer to maximise air ventilation.
Can I open the lid of the Easy Bread machine while it’s baking?
Yes, once the baking process has started, you can open the lid of the capsule holder to remove the empty plastic capsule.
TIP: be aware that the machine becomes very hot during operating, we recommend you wear oven mits to do this

No, do not open the drawer during the baking process.

How big should the bread loaf be and what weight?
One capsule equals one loaf of bread with approximately 500g. However, as the Easy Bread capsule is a natural product with natural ingredients and without any chemical additives, there is no “perfect” bread. Every loaf will vary in look, size and weight.
Where can I store the capsule?
One of the important ingredients in bread is yeast. If the yeast is exposed to the temperatures above 35°C for a longer period of time, the yeast will die and the bread will not rise during the baking process. We therefore recommend to store your capsules in a dry and cool place with no more than 35°C.

Where are the bread capsules made/produced?
The capsules are produced in the most Western part of Austria, Vorarlberg. The capsule filling process takes part in a production facility in the Allgau, a very rural and fertile area in the South of Germany.
What is the capsule packaging made of?
The capsule, as well as the sealing foil are made of food safe plastic.
Why does the bread capsule expire after 8 months?
In the production process, we substitute the oxygen which is left in the upper part of the capsule with nitrogen. The reason we do this is to avoid, that during the transport, storage and retail process, the yeast, which makes the bread rise, loses its strength. Nitrogen may however not be mistaken with a preservative that is added to the baking mixture or used in the baking process at large industrial bakeries. Chemical preservatives are used in many industrially produced foods to keep the product looking fresh for as long as possible. The nitrogen which we use for the bread capsule, does not “rub” off in any way to the baking mix. It is therefore in no way consumed. Since it does not have a smell or a taste of its own, it also doesn’t alter the taste of our bread. Using nitrogen is very common in the food industry. It is used for meat and meat products, fish, dairy products, fruits and vegetables as well as for dried foods or catering.
Can I add my own ingredients to the Easy Bread Mix?
Yes, you can add your own ingredients to your bread mix to add your own custom loaf. However please keep in mind, we recommend only using the Bread mixes as is to achieve optimum results. This is because the added ingredients will change the consistency of the bread. To achieve the best results use only dry ingredients such as sultanas / raisins, olives, sundried tomatoes and more. Use a cup full of your chosen ingredient, and then place into the baking dish before pressing start. Close the draw firmly and then press start, to continue the baking process.
You can use any bread mix you like, however we believe that Puro or Country Love would bake the best flavoured breads.
